Jana Tepe

Topic: Stop the men in grey! - Start changing the working world today!

About: Jana Tepe (28) is founder and CEO of Tandemploy, the job-sharing platform. At the age of 26, Jana decided to commit herself to making the working world a more life-friendly place. As one concrete and pragmatic solution to achieving this ambitious goal, she rediscovered the concept of job-sharing whose realization she now promotes with her own company.

Jana's background is in Marketing & HR, her specialist field being the future of work. After having completed her master's program in „New Media and Communication“ in the Netherlands in 2011, Jana came to Berlin to recruit talents for startup companies. During her time at the recruitment agency i-potentials, Jana developed the idea of Tandemploy together with her colleague Anna Kaiser. The two of them decided to found Tandemploy just a couple of days afterwards and started 8 weeks later.

For the idea of Tandemploy, Jana and her co-founder Anna won several prizes and a 1-year grant from the German government. They have become experts on the job-sharing working model in particular but also for a new way of working in general – and have received attention and requests from dozens of countries all over the world. For example, Jana is currently advising the Czech Ministry for Social Affairs on the topic of job-sharing.

Her credo: „Imagine a world where people achieve more with less – but more clever! - work!“
